ITIC card – INTERNATIONAL TEACHER IDENTIFICATION CARD

As an international teacher identification, the ITIC card has been developed for over 70 years with continuous support and official endorsement from UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) in more than 130 countries worldwide. It represents the only internationally recognized verification of teacher status, which also provides access to a wide range of benefits across various fields. It is often used at international conferences and professional development programs, where it allows for reduced registration fees for participants with teacher status.

CONDITIONS AND DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED FOR CARD ISSUANCE

  • A copy of a valid ID card or another official document (passport).
  • Confirmation from a school or university stating that the applicant is a full-time teacher (minimum 18 teaching hours per week).
  • One photo for document purposes, dimensions 2.5 x 3.5 cm.
  • Annual membership fee paid in the amount of 1,000 RSD, valid from September of one school year to December of the next (the card is tied to the school year).

You can apply for the ITIC card:

  1. In person at the Mojakartica Customer Service,
    Starine Novaka 1, Belgrade
    Working hours: Monday to Friday (10 AM – 2 PM).
    The card is issued immediately upon application.
  2. Online – Order your ITIC card online.

Validity of the ITIC Card

The validity cycle of the ITIC card begins in September of each school year and ends in December of the following year (the maximum validity period is 16 months).

Example of validity for the 2024/25 school year:

  • Applying for the ITIC card by submitting proof for the 2024/25 school year can be done no earlier than September 2024, when the school year officially begins. In this case, the card will be valid from September 2024 to December 2025.
  • If the application for the ITIC card is submitted in any later month of 2024 (October, November, December) or during 2025, the card will be valid from the month of application until December 31, 2025.

The membership fee amount remains the same regardless of the application date.

To renew the ITIC card, all required documentation must be submitted again.
